Broken Faith...

My faith in our local justice system is now not just broken, but completely shattered... jan and lou managed to get another 4 month long continuance. So now it's not going to trial call until next year!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL???? Now we have to go until January 10th, 2011. My girls are already so damn depressed to the point that they honestly believe that they are never coming home.... Alongside all the lies jan and lou are telling them... The latest one is that Hubby and I have no health insurance, so the girls can't possibly return to us yet.... What a crock of shit that one in particular is!!!! We have had health insurance since September 1st, 2005.  For the WHOLE family.... I really don't know how much longer our family can hold out regarding this....

A BROKEN System

Today, my parents are going for an ex parte hearing for another continuance. More than likely it will be granted because they have a "new" attorney working for them in only the past week, when they have had at least 4 freaking months to hire a new one. I am so sick of this bull with the court system... Nothing we do makes a darn bit of difference. Yet everything jan and lou say seems to be the absolute truth without any factual evidence to back it up. They have continued this case REPEATEDLY for the last 3 years, always some reason or another. How they have gotten away with it for so long is beyond my comprehension. And to top it off, their last attorney had the unmitigated audacity to claim "longevity, and how it's in the BEST INTERESTS of the girls to remain where they are". IF these continuances had never been ALLOWED, there wouldn't be an issue of longevity.  What I love even better is the fact that when we had our conference hearing last year, jan couldn't be bothered to show, for 2 very different reasons and they got ANOTHER year out of this one by telling the judge that they wanted to reunite the WHOLE family, including reuniting myself and my egg donor jan. Then in February of the NEXT year, they told ANOTHER judge the complete opposite of what they had told the judge in Sept of last year. They said that they had many issues of even giving us ( myself and Hubby ) 1 more day a week visitation, much less letting our family reunify. Not to mention the FACT that jan and lou's attorney submitted a declaration to the judge in Feb also, stating that they thought an attorney for the girls was a good idea, as long as jan and lou didn't have to pay for any of it. Why is that you ask? Because they claimed to NOT have the financial resources to pay for it, that they were using, and I QUOTE directly from this affidavit " The appointment of counsel for the children raises the issue of who will pay for the appointed counsel. While recognizing the benefit of independent counsel, the guardians are opposed to being required to contribute toward the fees for the children's counsel. The guardians are using their MODEST resources to meet the children's basic living expenses and in DEFENDING THE ACTION TO TERMINATE THE GUARDIANSHIP, and they DON'T have the ability to also pay the fees for the children's counsel."  So, they have the money to go to Disneyland, Sea World, and Idaho, plus enough money to invite our son along ( All of these are in JAN'S declaration to the court 2 weeks before their attorney's submittal), but none of our CHILD SUPPORT money left over to pay for the girls' COURT APPOINTED attorney???? And they keep screaming to the high heavens of the judicial system, school system, and Church members that they and they alone have our girls' best interests at heart.....Basically making a horse's ass out of the judge we had in Sept who is still overseeing our case. Now they want ANOTHER continuance. They have done ALL of these tactics before when my real parents divorced 30 years ago. Continue, continue, continue... Lie, Lie, Lie... Accuse, accuse, accuse... Costing my Dad 7 years of anguish until he finally gave up because the courts CONTINUALLY let him down, as they are doing now to my family. And NO ONE has ever stopped to take a real look at jan and lou and ask them WHY.... Why do they do this to their supposed "loved ones"???? Why does jan have to raise my kids? Why hasn't she gotten Tashi, my autistic daughter, the HELP she so obviously needs? No outside help besides what the school special ed provides. I can guarantee that this is NOT enough.  Tashi is also severely overweight, why has no one reported this? Why do jan and lou continue to catch all the necessary breaks while Hubby and I are breaking ourselves mentally, emotionally, physically, financially and are getting NOTHING in return??? How is it that they can literally circumvent the court's authority by letting Mrs Suzzane Manders talk to my girls about myself, Hubby & the court case which is in direct violation of the court;'s orders and the judges do nothing to stop this. Not even sanctions levied to get them to stop. Is it because lou works and has worked for the sheriff's dept for over 30 years????  In the words of my loving Mother in Law Sandy, "jan may be smiling and laughing NOW, but she won't be when the girls are older and refuse to see or speak to her." As a fellow victim of jan the psychopath, I can say in all earnestness that Sandy is absolutely correct. I won't see or speak to jan unless it is absolutely necessary, and even then I still refuse to truly acknowledge her existence.
